Ever since I was a little girl, I've had a head full of stories. I started writing them down about thirty years ago, so that now I have over a dozen completed manuscripts. The Haven Hold trilogy was the first full length story I wrote down. I didn't have a computer back then, so the first draft was handwritten in pencil so I could make changes. I had no idea how many words it took to have a book length novel, so I just kept writing until the story reached a conclusion. I ended up with over a thousand pages -- 700 pages once I typed it into my first computer. Since then it has gone through countless drafts and edits, but it was too long to publish as a single book, so it got split into a trillogy.
